Transportation
 Don’t
let the fact that you or a senior family member or friend has stopped driving
stop you! Volen Center offers
two convenient, alternate transportation programs -- Community Coach and LIFT -- so that seniors and disabled adults continue to have the
independence and freedom to engage in activities outside the home. The
Volen Transportation Program
provides thousands of rides annually. Sit back, relax, and let someone else do
the driving for you.

Staffed by specially licensed, highly
qualified drivers who are experienced, courteous, and professional

A fleet of 24 safe, clean, wheel-chair
equipped vehicles

Fees: Rides provided at no-cost or low-cost
to seniors depending on type of ride and distance
Riders

 Must
be 18 - 59 and disabled; or

Must be 60 years old or older

Must provide information such as address,
the name of caregiver or emergency contact, special needs, and examples of
what kinds of trips will be made

Service area: from the Southern border of
Palm Beach County, North to Hypoluxo Road, from the oceanside in the East to
the Western County Border

Trips range from rides to and from the
Volen Center in Boca Raton,
Volen’s Delray Beach Dementia Specific adult day care, other
service agencies, doctors' offices, grocery stores, pharmacies, meal
sites, social service agencies, and a variety of other locations throughout
the service area.

Private car escort service is available by
special arrangement. Special fees apply.

Funded through the Older Americans Act, Palm
Beach County, the City of Boca Raton, private donations,
and reasonable user fees.
Reservations

By appointment only, with all rides being
offered on a space available basis.

Must call to reserve space between 9 am and
3 pm on the business day before the ride is needed.

Must register prior to first trip.
